I bought these as a replacement for the omniwheels on my R2-D2. They are directional, (2 left and 2 right) which matters if you're using them the way I hoped to. They seem to be pretty quiet and have rubber covers on the individual cylinder wheels. If you're looking for a wheel that can slide both left and right, this might not be for you. It's not because of low quality or anything--they're great for small robot or RC projects. The center hub is not round, so I can't use for my R2-D2 with a 8mm rod, but it has specialized hex parts to connect to your motors.
