I've used this self-standing style of cover since I first got the Kindle Paperwhite. I have an older version and the fit is perfect, no extra space, super snug and secure. I can read hands-free while eating, laying in bed, and more. The prop-up covers are thicker than the fold-back kind, but for me it's worth the extra bulk. The material feels durable. The outside of my last cover began to chip and peel after several years, but this one doesn't feel like it will have the same issue. Time and use will tell, of course.
